My 1st love...

It was 12 years ago that I fell in love with HRITHIK ROSHAN...before him I had been a huge fan of SRK as far as I can recall my childhood. SRK along with Yashraj Films will the credit of giving every girl in India...especially to my generation a thought of her own dream man!!!

Be it Simran thinking of her andekha anjana or Pooja dreaming of her soul-mate and it always turned out of be the baazigar...charming all single ladies with his romantic lines which were as sweet as honey and as smooth as silk :) 

Leaving me to imagine all the stuff happening to me someday. Since the romance king was a happily married man somehow I could not fancy him. Though I wanted my man to have hair like that of Raj Malhotra or Rahul Sharma!!!

As soon as I entered into ‘thrilling 13’ Hrithik Roshan happened to me!!! :p Yes, I’m gonna confess it all…

Pheli baar:  It was 3 December 1999, I had Chemistry exam next day so I have been studying since morning, as soon as mom left to go to mandir in the evening I thought of watching TV without volume (so as I’m not caught watching TV…I switched on MTV and some new song was being played with MTV exclusive flashing on it…I saw the face of the guy and thought ‘nice’ and turned on some volume… ‘pyaar hai…kaho naa pyaaaarrrr hai’ and just then the credits came saying: Kaho naa pyar hai, kaho pyaar hai, Rakesh Roshan. I switched it off…and thought of  Rakesh Roshan movies like Karan Arjun, Koyla and wondered if this new guy is replacing Shah Rukh Khan…Bad bargain!

Dusri dafa: It was 17 December 1999, Karan was randomly playing all music channels and he stayed on MTV little longer to watch MTV Bakra ad and the next song it played was… ‘ek pal jeena…’ we both hardly heard the lyrics…all we could see was the hunk dancing awesomely well to some weird tune!! And  for the next three hours we were just searching the song to come on any damn channel again so as to watch just once!!! L L L

And then the song became a rage and was on everyone’s lips and everyone tried to move his/her butt on it. It was one movie which became my favorite before I actually saw it :p no wonders it was a huge hit when it released and all started to like Hrithik Roshan as I did the first day I saw ‘ek pal ka jeena’

Now the dream man got the face…beautiful one. Anyone could fall for his looks. I bought all the magazines which had his cover story ( all of them all still my prized possessions J) I collected all his pictures ever published (till 2008) in any magazine or newspaper…pasted them in colorful scrap books…spending more time of decorating them than making assignments in college days…I can’t remember if I had any other hobby after falling for him…I spent all afternoon collecting and pasting his pictures and evenings in dancing and imitating his moves!

Never missed any of his movies…Fiza and Mission Kashmir also came in the same year 2000 making me think that will he get good movies I mean yash chopra types!!!

By the end of the year, on this very day 11 years ago my dream man got married to his girlfriend Suzzane Khan…Zayed Khan’s sister!!! I still remember the ugly day…I took leave from school…cried…watched every news channel with frenzy news reports about him getting married at the prime of his career! I hated it from the bottom of my heart.

But nothing stopped me being his fan or loving him…

Yaadein and K3G in 2001 and Rohan Raichand is the character most close to my dream man! (I mean I thought that way) Aap muhje acche lagne lage, Na tum jaano na hum and Mujse dosti karoge in 2002 made me hate Amisha Patel for over acting, Esha Doel for not acting at all and Kunal Kohli for not pairing my Hrithik Roshan with my Kareena! J

Mani Prem ki diwani hoon had such an impact on me that I have a tattoo ( who would have waited for someone else to come…fall in love with me and get my name’s tattoo…Sonam is ‘do it all’ yourself girl) and Koi…mil gaya made me fall in love with him all over again in 2003…I still cry watching both of these movies…kasam ki kasam being my favorite romantic song and Its magic being my all time favorite video J

 In the year 2004, Hrithik Roshan made my brother happy…Lakshya…he played Karan Shergill…all time favorite movie of both of us (me and bhai). And yes, it had the best proposal scenes I must say ;) The only problem was someone with the name Karan…reminded me of my own brother and evoked only brotherly feelings L

2005 was a dull year!!!

But 2006 was THE year…Krrish and Dhoom 2…oh man I’m short of words! I wonder when will he stop looking so damn handsome...ooooo Handsomeness personified…Superhero and Hitech chor…I had hard time choosing one out of them most of times it was my mood deciding the winner and not my logic. I toh look at him and lose all sense of logic…the little I have! :p The best part of Dhoon 2 releasing in the end of the year was that I didn’t miss his movie in 2007.

The wait paid off when Jodhaa Akbar came in 2008…he looked just out of this world…kehne ko jashne bahara hai…o my my!!!

My college life was over by now and all I did was falling in love with this guy called Hrithik Roshan!

In 2010…neither Kites nor Guzaarish did well but I loved both of the movies…Kites was awesome music & moves and Guzaarish for the kind of actor Hrithik Roshan is. Hats off

Zindagi naa milegi Dobara taught me lesson of my life!!!
