All time Favorite...

As long as I can remember I have been a Shah Rukh Khan fan, though I can’t clearly recall myself watching the TV show he did but as mommy tells me that all at the home use to watch it and it was a popular soap. She always adds that I use to sleep midway of it and cry later that I missed it. All in the family use to laugh except Dadi, who use to pick me up in her warm arms and put me in her lap to narrate the story I missed. And that’s not the only reason I love her so very much. Miss her even more.
Coming back to Shah Rukh Khan, I still remember the school days missed for the SHAH RUKH KHAN movies, not me alone…my little brother along with since Papa is a big Bollywood fan. Though he did not like Shah Rukh much but he has been a Yash Chopra fan since Deewar, Trishul and stuff… so, lucky me and Karan use get day off much to mommy’s mood off. But we could make it out by promising her to score good in upcoming tests and to our dismay, in ICSE (I can’t stand education) schools had UNIT TEST every week. Damn how everyone I mean how not so good at studies students hated UNIT TEST. My first nightmares!!!
Watching Deewana, RBGG, King Uncle, Baazigar, Darr, KHKN, DDLJ, Karan Arjun, Trimuti (Shit…even this one…YUCK!!! But it was SRK & Subash Ghai), Yes boss, Pardes, DTPH,  Dilse, KKHH, Baadshah…stop stop stop…we did not go for PDHH!!! Evident enough, in 2000…HRITHIK ROSHAN debuted to the silver screen and me entering my teenage and a new crush and it was the heartthrob of the nation. Everyone dancing to the tunes of Ek pal ka jeena and humming kyun chalti hai pawan ..OMG it was such an awesome feeling! No word in the world can explain it. I was a ninth grader and all set to marry Hrithik Roshan…
Everyone around me knew about my new found love and laughed at my craziness and I remember one of my masi telling me that after few years down the line you too gone laugh at your foolishness and to her surprise I don’t laugh at it I relish those sweet memories when all I wanted was THE HRITHIK ROSHAN!
I collected all his pictures appearing in almost every newspaper every Friday and every Sunday with his interview or someone’s view…in few months I collected around 500 of them and started to paste them in my newly bought Expression’s scrap book. (I am still a proud owner of all SEVEN scrap books I made before I joined my masters’)
It has been eleven years since its release and Hrithik Roshan was ELEVEN YEARS elder to me at that time, now I’m at his age and still like the way I liked him years ago but though the degree is not the same. Since I have lot of others things to take care of.
I saw KNPH around 64 times in 3 months, repeated all the dialogues, as Hrithik or Amisha delivered them, much to other people’s displeasure. I  hated Karisma for killing her brother in Fiza, later I hated Jackie and Sanjay Dutt for being behind his life in Mission Kashmir. I fell in love with the name Ronit after yaadein, and started liking Kareena kapoor after K3G. I was bound to hate Amisha and her acting skills (she had breathing problem in the story but the screenplay writer missed to tell it to the audience) after AMAL2. I started to buy caps after I saw NTJNH and cursed Kunal Kohli for casting Rani opposite Hrithik in Mujhse Dosti karoge, in my opinion the movie bombed at the box office since people had come to see Hrithik-Kareena romance instead of what Hrithik and Rani were doing! (I respect Rani as an actor but then Hrithik with Rani…Naahhh!). I started to hate Abhishek Bachchan all over again and not to forget Himani Shivpuri (Kareena’s mom in the movie) after Main Prem ki Diwani hoon… I loved the songs of the movie, loved Kareena character and obviously Hrithik Roshan. With Koi mil gaya, I started to believe that Rajesh Roshan should stop composing music now though I wanted to see Hrithik dancing Ganesh Hedge’s style. After I saw Lakshya, I decided to marry an army person. I started to respect Hrithik Roshan much more as an actor after it. Then came India’s first super hero movie Krrish, and I loved it. the Desi super hero not only ket me busy whistling for him but admiring Priyanka Chopra as well. Before Krrish, I thought of Priyanka Chopra as a B grade movie star shouting for attention. (Plaese recall her initial movies with Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol…Kismat…fashion disaster…Miss World!)
In Dhoom 2, Hrithik starred opposite another Miss World former though, now Mrs Bachchan, and everyone liked their chemistry except Bachchan clan! Hrithik Roshan-the man with good looks, good looks and good looks, his dance moves, his character, his cool hairstyles, left eye brow lifts…oh my my…He is the Greek God. Next on screen was Jodha Akbar, I doubted the movie because of its genre but then Hrithik Roshan (along with Ash) make the history look glamorous and sizzling too. The movie was awesome, it was for first time that I liked and enjoyed historical movie. The divine love and romance was eternal. Though the storyline of Kites could not have much impact on my mind but Hrithik looked terribly hot in the movie as a salsa teacher. Surprisingly, I had watched this movie only once, and it is first Hrithik movie which I did not feel like watching again. With Guzaarish, it became quite clear to me that I’ll always be a HRITHIK ROSHAN fan irrespective of what all kinds of movies he does…his acting skills have no match… hats off to my favorite actor and my first teenage love!
