Life in 21st century has some share of advantages and plus points but today’s life is hectic and fast paced, and global competition has resulted in a global by-product STRESS! In recent years this highly under-rated, frequently underestimated and most often ignored topic has gained some attention. And is now viewed as potentially dangerous and a silent killer, whose damaging capabilities only increase with time.
When you are handling too many things in your workplace, there are higher chances of getting stressed. Prioritize your responsibilities according to their importance is the readymade solution given to you from the seniors. But, the query is whether that works for all. More than that organizing the tasks to be done can be more helpful and finish off the easier tasks first, which may be of lesser relevance. The number of jobs to be done will decrease atleast and then you can focus on the bigger, complex and time consuming tasks with lighter mind.
Sometimes, when we fail to meet our own expectations at work, we get stressed and often that stress is taken back home too. Do not forget that work is just one part of life and not life itself, there is much brighter aspects of life, like watching movies, listening to music, reading a good article, even writing one. Even eating out with your friends or colleagues in break during office hours can help, but if office work is not part of the conversations doe during the much wanted break is taken. Yoga can help as well in extreme conditions.
You can either choose to let stress, stress you out; or you can choose to be strong, rise to the occasion, and beat the hell out of that stress…
